Solvers
Step-by-Step Math and Science Solvers
Every solver shows the working, not just the answer. Choose a subject to see worked examples, common mistakes, and practice.

First solution freeWhich solver do you need?
Pick by the subject on your worksheet. If the problem is written as a paragraph rather than an equation, start with the word problem solver, which shows the translation from English into algebra before solving anything. If you already know the exact operation you need — a derivative, a determinant, a standard deviation — a single-purpose calculator will get you there faster.
Every solver works the same way underneath. You give it the problem, it returns numbered steps with the rule or theorem used at each one, and the mathematics is rendered as real notation rather than plain text, so a fraction looks like a fraction and a mistake is visible instead of buried in ASCII. Your first solution needs no account.
The solvers are best used to check work you have already attempted, or to get unstuck on a step you cannot see past. Copying a solution without following it produces marks now and a problem in the exam hall — we go into why on our academic integrity page, and into where the solver is least reliable on accuracy and limits.
