About Gauth

A homework helper that shows the working, and a short account of who stands behind what is written here.

What Gauth is

Gauth is an AI homework helper at gauth.io. You type or photograph a STEM problem and get a full worked solution: numbered steps, a justification attached to each move, and real mathematical notation rather than ASCII approximations. You get one free search, a single question, with no account and no card. Gauth Plus removes that limit.

It is a website, not an app. It is a language model writing an explanation, not a symbolic engine computing a proof — how it works lays out the whole pipeline, and the accuracy page is honest about where that approach breaks down.

Who it is for

The person we build for has already attempted the problem. They are stuck at a specific point, or they have an answer that disagrees with the back of the book and cannot find where. They want the route, not the destination, because the same question is going to appear on a paper in six weeks with nothing to check against.

That includes people coming back to study after time away, students working in a second language who understand the mathematics but not the phrasing of the question, and parents trying to help with a method that was taught differently when they learned it.

It is a poor fit for two people. One wants a bare answer to copy, which the product actively works against and our position on academic integrity explains. The other needs a guaranteed correct result for something consequential — a professional calculation, a medical dose, an engineering tolerance. Nothing generated here should be used that way.

Who checks the writing

Plainly: the guides, comparisons, and explanations on this site are drafted with AI assistance and then checked, rather than written from scratch by a named academic. We are telling you that because the alternative — inventing a professor with a photograph and a publication list to sign the pages — is exactly the kind of thing this section exists to rule out.

What checking actually means here. Every worked example is recomputed and has to arrive at the stated answer. Every factual claim that needs support carries a link to a source you can open, and where we cannot support a claim, the page does not make it. Competitor pricing on the comparison pages is dated, because it moves. Mathematical content is verified against standard references such as OpenStax and MIT OpenCourseWare rather than asserted from memory.

What it does not mean. No individual subject-matter expert signs off on each page, and we do not pretend otherwise. If you find an error — in a worked example, a definition, or a claim about how something is marked — email team@gauth.io and it gets fixed. That correction loop is a more honest quality signal than a byline you have no way to verify.

What we do not claim

This section exists because the category is full of invented numbers. We have no mobile apps and no app-store ratings. We do not publish a user count, a review count, or a star rating. We do not employ human tutors. We do not quote an accuracy percentage, for the reasons set out on the accuracy page.

If a figure about Gauth is not on this site, we did not say it. If you find one attributed to us somewhere else, we would like to know.

Contact

Everything reaches team@gauth.io — wrong solutions, billing questions, data deletion requests, corrections to a guide, or a claim on this site you think is overstated. Billing and subscription changes can also be handled directly from your account, and the help centre answers the common questions faster than we can by email.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Gauth mobile app?
No. Gauth is a website. It works in a phone browser and you can add it to your home screen, but there is nothing in the app stores, and any listing claiming to be us is not.
Are there human tutors behind the answers?
No. Every solution is generated by an AI model at the moment you ask, and no person reads it before you do. The written guides on the site are produced differently — drafted with AI assistance and then checked by us — which the section on who checks the writing sets out in full.
Who writes and checks the guides?
They are drafted with AI assistance and then checked: every worked example is recomputed and must reach the stated answer, and factual claims are backed by a linked source. No named academic signs off on each page, and we do not claim one does. Errors reported to team@gauth.io get fixed.
How do I report a wrong solution?
Email team@gauth.io with the problem exactly as you entered it and the solution you were given. Specific reports are far more useful to us than general ones, and they are the main way pages and prompts get fixed.
How do I get my data deleted?
Email team@gauth.io from the address on your account and ask. The privacy page explains what we hold, who processes it, and how long deletion takes.
